Millet or Madhira also known as Barnyard Millet, madhira has a high content of B1, Calcium, protein, minerals and iron. Cooling and easy to digest, madhira is traditonally used as a fasting food and is excellent for people suffering from acidity and indigestion. Also, an excellent alternative food for people allergic to glutten, madhira can also be used as a weaning food for infants and as a highly nutritious food for growing children. This millet is grown under natural conditions in Kumaon without any chemicals. These product lack fancy packaging , but they are of uncompromising quality and guaranteed to be free from adulterates which wreck havoc to health and well-being.
Direction For Use : Serving Suggestions : 1 Cup of madhira, 2 cups of water. Roast madhira until lightly brown and rinse with cold water. Add 2 cups of water, bring to boil, lower flame and simmer unti water evaporates. Serve with lentils or vegetables. As a porridge: 50 gms madhira, 400ml water. Put madhira into a pan, add water and boil for 30 minutes. Add salt or sugar according to taste and boil for another 10 minutes. Note: Water can be substituted with milk to prepare Kheer.
